My dear friends in Jesus Christ..,
The first reading tells us three important concerns of God. To deal with the people of God..! First, Do not mistreat or oppress a foreigner, Do not take advantage of widow and fatherless, and Do not treat like a business deal when you give lend for the needy.
Foreigner is one who is helpless in a strange country with a hostile situation, no body to defend and protect.. So, God says, do not increase their pain and sufferings, and do not make use them for personnel and selfish motives and do not use them for the profit marketing...
God says again.., Do not take advantage of widow and fatherless.. Widow and orphans have nobody to take care of them.... If we are doing injustice to them God will take care of them, and defend them and will take revenge against us....!!
God says...: I will hear their cry.... and I will kill you with sword..!
The last pledge of God is this: Do not treat like a business man...... When you treat with needy persons, do not treat like a business man...! Especially when you deal with friends of God, and poor and needy people to whom God have more concerns and caring..!
The second reading tells us how to live as the people of God..! Imitating apostles... welcoming the message in the midst of severe suffering with the joy given by the Holy Spirit..
It is an invitation to live always with JOY, HOPE and FAITH. Second reading tells us to turn to God from the idols to serve the living and true God, and to wait for his son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead- Jesus, who rescues us from the coming wrath...
The Gospel tells us about the first and foremost rule and norm of life: THE LOVE-
LOVE of GOD and the LOVE of MAN -
Which is the greatest commandment in the LAW..? Asks one of the Pharisees. Jesus replys: Love the Lord your God with all your heart and all your soul and with all your mind.... and Love your your neighbour as yourself..! All law hang on this commandments of LOVE...
So let us love who is Almigty and let us care and defend who are poor he and needy.
